You are Murdering Me and I Will Hate You Forever
Some people speak of recovery and healing from traumatic abuse as if it is something available to us.
The world at large has never shown any interest in my healing or recovery. In fact, quite the opposite. They adamantly and stubbornly exacerbate that trauma and abuse. Their surety of their desire to force those abused and traumatized to return to the source of their abuse and trauma is a deadly weapon of ignorance.
Trying to force the abused and traumatized person back into a relationship with their abuser in the hope that they will forgive them is reenforcing abuse as something earned. It is taking sides with the abuser allowing them to further damage the abused.
The abused person can never be free. They are never allowed to heal. Never allowed to become themselves. They are never allowed to develop self-respect because a society that believes in fairy tales is demanding a happy ending. And society will have its way.
How many deaths have you witnessed? And how many of those deaths were happy endings? It’s not just a stupid society that reinforces and encourages abuse, it is a society with murderous intentions.
