Lie or Die! Stubborn Unimaginative People Refuse to See the Possibilities

A phone call from a recruiter reminds me what world I live in and who controls it.

Well, I guess I’ve learned my lesson, again.

All my belongings are packed. I’ve been ready to move at the drop of a hat for about a month. I have a place at my destination waiting for me. All they need is proof that I will have a job when I get there.

I just spoke with a recruiter that needs someone at my destination ASAP. I told him I could be there in 7 hours. All I need to do is put all my stuff in the back of a truck and hit the road. Still, he was hesitant since I am not physically located in the same city of the job site at this very moment.

I sent him a picture of my future home. I sent him the address. I was honest. I made it clear that all I need to complete the move I have already begun is proof that I have secured a job in my destination city.

Still, he refused to budge. He did not present my qualifications to his client, the employer.

So, when given the choice between filling his clients position with a qualified candidate, making them happy and allowing me…
