Hey!? I have that same issue. It seems every subject I excelled at was blocked to me. I got straight A’s in math, statistics, logic, etc and a D+ in English at university. My college career counselor basically shrugged his shoulders when I asked about careers with a statistical/data analysis angle (this was 1993, before the internet and before data analysis).

So long story short, I ended up teaching English. It seemed like I was less threatening to my coworkers. That is, until I eventually mastered the subject, at which point the bullying backstabbers came out the woodwork.
