First, thank you for your post! It was entertaining. And don't worry about casting 'shade.' I probably have more shade in my traumatized memories of forgotten Craigslist moments than I care to block from my conscious awareness.

Also, was being over 30 supposed to imply being OLDER?! I'm definitely aging too quickly to have caught that on the first read through. (I'm. . .ahem, older.)

Now to the reason I highlighted the above: It's even worse than you let on. I've spent too much time attempting to find the profile of people who have looked at mine to know that it's more than geography. You know the profiles that state age? I've narrowed my searches to specific tribes and proclivities, searching an age range of 41 to 41 attempting to find someone who casually glanced at me to never find them.

I absolutely detest Grindr. Naturally, I renew my yearly membership within seconds of its expiration. It's like paying the electric bill. Grindr is so ubiquitous to at least the GB and Q of LGBTQ these days that one really can't go without for very long.

Thanks for sharing your experience. At least the parts suitable for a Medium audience.
